As a semi-detached smallholder, I have a distributed approach to keeping livestock - sheep at livery and pigs by special arrangement. At home we keep chickens for eggs, raise a couple of turkeys for Christmas, tend a productive fruit and veg garden and keep a colony of bees.

We run a smallholding in Earl Soham. We rear pigs outdoors, run a couple of Red Poll cows, a small goat dairy and a mixed flock of sheep. In addition to a motley collection of poultry we attempt to keep bees and have a small fishery.

We moved to Suffolk recently following a search for a house with some land for growing vegetables, keeping stock and where I can use my Fordson Dexta tractor! We currently have five chickens and are considering some sheep or pigs.
