Suffolk Smallholders Society - Show 2010

Show 2010

Show 2010

We have decided for numerous reasons that there will be no Suffolk Smallholders' Show in 2010.  We will however have a presence at the Helmingham Hall Suffolk Punch Day on Sunday 15 August 2010.

Full details of that event are as follows:-
The Society committee has finalised plans for our involvement at this popular event later in the summer. We have got a really great deal for members and we want to encourage you to come along and enjoy the day!

The benefit for Society members is that we can enter at a reduced rate. Instead of the £7:00 per head rate we will be able to attend for the price of £2:50.  In addition, reduced or free places will be given to members who wish to have their own stall at the event to sell produce/services.  If you want to take advantage of this, use the Helmingham Hall event booking form on the website (see below), and send it directly to the organisers making it clear that you are a member of the Society.

In return for these benefits we are being asked to provide livestock to be on show during the event in an area set aside for the Society where we can have information and craftwork on show to the public. What would be great I if we can create a good presence at the show so both members and the public can gather and share experiences about smallholding in Suffolk.

It is important that we start getting an idea of what livestock will be available to show so that we can co-ordinate pens and access. It would be great to see a selection of poultry, sheep, goats, cattle, pigs, alpacas and any other stock members keep.
