Suffolk Smallholders Society

Suffolk Smallholders Society

The Suffolk Smallholders Society is a non- profit group of like minded people interested in smallholding, self sufficiency, allotments, fruit and vegetable growing and animal husbandry on a small scale.

We have a varied membership, ranging from people with a tomato plant growing on the window sill to smallholders and small farmers with 10s of acres to keep them busy.

Membership of the Society is open to all families who have an interest in smallholding and the countryside and currently stands at around 360 member families, mainly from Suffolk but also from Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex. We also have a few members from further afield.

The Society runs a varied diary of training events, informative meetings with a guest speaker, regular open days to members properties (called Nosey Sundays) and we have an annual show where we can show our livestock, produce, machinery and generally get together for a good time. For future planned events please press the DIARY button in the menu.

For produce for sale, grown or produced locally by our own members, why not visit the PRODUCE pages. The SALES & WANTS page is for equipment and stock for sale, or wanted, by our members. Check out the DOWNLOADS page for advice and documents.
